Hazwoper Exam

Employee Preparation Guidelines

In preparation for receiving a Hazwoper exam, please:

• Fast for 12 hours prior to exam appointment.
  
  
• Wear hearing protectors to reduce occupational exposure to noise at 80 bD or below at least fourteen (14) hours prior to examination.
  
  
• Avoid high levels of non-occupational noise at least fourteen (14) hours immediately before the exam.

These actions will allow the test to be properly administered.

If your appointment time does not allow you fourteen (14) hours of low levels of noise prior to the exam, please reschedule. If you are unable to complete the required fasting time for the Hazwoper exam, please contact Sheryl for a reschedule at <smajor@mail.sdsu.edu>.
