Ergonomic Equipment and Accessories

The following list includes but is not limited to ergonomic equipment and accessories that can be used for computer workstations.

ERGONOMIC EQUIPMENT AND ACCESSORIES
Item Appropriate Use
Split Keyboard For larger computer users and for those who have difficulty in hand pronation (palms toward ground / back of hands facing up).

* Individuals with previous injury involving fingers, hands, wrists, arms, or shoulders will want their physicians or physical therapists to approve of any keyboard changes.
Keyboard Tray When desktop is too high for appropriate keyboard and/or mouse placement or when more distance from monitor is needed.
Sliding Keyboard Drawer When more distance from monitor is needed (may be a solution where desktops are both low and have shallow depths).
Mouse Deck When there is no room for mouse at proper work surface level or when the mouse must be closer to the user. (Only feasible for those who do not regularly use the numeric keypad.)
Monitor Riser(s) or Arm When monitor needs to be raised.
Footrest When feet are not comfortably planted flat on floor and it is inconvenient to adjust seat height.
Document Holder When working from reference documents.
Slant Board When performing large levels of document review or writing.
Glare Filter When overhead lighting causes glare onto the screen.
Wrist Rest To provide a soft surface to rest hands while NOT keyboarding.
Trackball For those with high levels of mouse use and high repetition click and click / drag tasks. For those with very limited space beside their keyboards.
Seatback Cushion When everything on your existing chair is fine except the low-back support.
