Policy and Procedures

Acceptable Use Policy: The SDSU Acceptable Use Policies (AUPs) are strictly enforced. Failure to follow policies will result in your loss of campus network access and may include civil and/or criminal prosecution. AUPs are located at the IT Security Office. Use of this network implies that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with all SDSU AUPs.

San Diego State University Networking Policy & Standards

Telecommunications & Network Services (TNS) provides the following information on campus networking policy & standards. These guides are intended for review by campus technical staff and end users before connecting a computer, printer or other computing device to the campus network. The guidelines are designed to ensure an infrastructure capable of supporting the university's current needs, while providing a flexible framework for future growth.

Network Consultation

Telecommunications & Network Services (TNS) provides network design and consultation for new campus installations and upgrades to existing Local Area Networks (LANs). Consultations are provided as a courtesy of TNS and are free of charge. To schedule a consultation, or for more information, please contact your area's Technical Contact (TC) or call 594-3500.
