Network Services
Network services provides San Diego State University with an efficient and advanced network computing environment, including the installation, configuration and management of wired and wireless connections and connectivity. Network Services offers design and consulting services to campus departments and colleges, and maintains faculty/staff email systems.
Billing
Repair costs for equipment purchased by TNS, and used in common with the campus community, are assumed by TNS. Any costs for repair of non-SDSU held equipment, including items owned and operated by the SDSU Foundation, Aztec Shops and others, or items damaged by users, is subject to a $58.00 hourly rate.

Network Consultation
Telecommunications & Network Services provides network design and consultation for new campus installations and upgrades to an existing Local Area Networks (LANs). Consultations are provided as a courtesy of TNS and are free of charge. To schedule a consultation, or for more information, please contact your area’s Technical Coordinator (TC) or call 594-3500.
Network Rate
Network Services charges a one-time-only fee for the installation of any authorized networking equipment. All charges are subject to change without notice.

Telecommunications and Network Services provides the SDSU community with a centrally-managed wireless network. The network is 802.11 b/g, commonly known as Wi-Fi.
