Faculty/Staff Support, Student Support, Email Accounts, Eudora Software, Eudora Documents, Dialup Accounts HelpdeskThe TNS Helpdesk provides San Diego State University with an array of services in support of TNS technologies. We are located in Love Library Room 200, from 9 am - 4 pm, Monday through Friday. We can be reached by phone at 619-594-5261. Support for Faculty and Staff Email Accounts - account creation, password changes, creation of aliases. Support for Students Computer Security - free McAfee security software, SDSU Acceptable Use Policy AUP information. Email Accounts on the mail.sdsu.edu server are available to all regular university faculty and staff. Email accounts for employees of the SDSU Foundation, Aztec Shops and other auxiliary organizations, programs and projects, are available through mail servers specific to those areas. Contact your supervisor for more information. If you are a regular university faculty, or staff, bring your current, valid SDSUcard to the TNS Help Desk in LL-200, open Monday through Friday, from 9 am - 4 p.m. No other form of identification will be accepted. Your card will be scanned, and (in most cases) your account will be created for you while you wait. This typically takes about 5 minutes. If you do not have an SDSUcard, or would like more information about SDSUcard services, click on: SDSUcard. The following software may be downloaded and installed without charge. In addition, all documentation may be saved and/or printed.
The Help Desk currently supports Pine, Outlook Express, and Eudora for Macintosh Systems 8 through OS X, and Windows 98/ME/NT/2000. IMAP support will be provided following the Fall 2005 migration of mail.sdsu.edu. For more information about IMAP and how the migration could affect you, see http://mailinfo.sdsu.edu/ Eudora Documents (Instructions) Dialup Accounts that already exist are supported by the TNS Help Desk. Support includes password changes and troubleshooting. New accounts are no longer offered since Webmail offers faster, more reliable, global services. To use SDSU Webmail, go to: http://webmail.sdsu.edu Site-licensed Software is available as stipulated by specific software license contracts. Site-licensed software contracts are handled by University Computer Operations.
